Good for Vila. I enjoyed that pair of stories.

I read it happily! Vila is really very impressing, dwarfing not only Avon but also Blake. It suits him!:-)

There were hints that he was capable of leadership (e.g. in Gold when he thought Avon was dead) and he always did act when there was no one else to leave it up to. I just took it further and had him decide that it was time for a change.

Thank you!

I figured he'd go one of two ways: anger and action, or passive depression.

Nicely written, it's good that Vila gets a new start.

I wonder what he'll do with it. Given that any clever crimes will point to him, maybe he'll buy a small hotel on Gardenos and be a genial host.

Off-topic and a day late, but happy birthday yesterday! I hope you had a great day! xxx

Thank you! It was the day before! It wasn't that much fun (we had painters in, the only days they could come) and it was soooo disruptive. All our stuff was piled in the centre of each room and I couldn't find anything or anywhere to get away from it all except out. I had an awesome meal out at a gourmet south Indian place that does the most unusual meals, so that made up for a lot of it. I also escaped yesterday for a farewell lunch with ex-colleagues which was great.

I'm still putting things away - and throwing stuff out. The months-long stresses of getting ready to sell...
