[bounce] I just got home and found the last two eps of Doctor Who (thanks to the very kind alteriel1) and season 3 of Blake's 7 waiting for me. Yay! Now I have two model Liberators (one original) and my very own B7 dome.

Oh, and I got an e-mail from Amazon telling me about various DVD specials. One link was to a page of British TV series. There's lots of Doctor Who on special including some docos. astrogirl2, if you haven't bought the House of Cards trilogy, it's there too.

The last two eps of DW--first one is funny and Jack is great, but the second one is just *unbelieveable*:)

First six eps are rubbish, but the last two are some of my favourite Who eps EVER:):):):)Matriarchal Minoan Crete as Atlantis! The Master being seductive and lovely! And it explains The Parting Of The Ways, damn it, it does... just watch it;)...

I really can't afford to buy all I'd like to watch, I know a video store with lots of Who though. I really should go there even though it's out of my way. They have the best selection of any video place in town: SF, foreign films, indie stuff. It's just a pain having to go there, then back again the next day to drop the tapes or DVDs back, but maybe I can get some stuff out for three days or a week. I should find out.

Oooh, you should. I don't think having Time Monster in there is very likely, since it's usually reviled, while I love it for its last two eps and because the writer had wonderful, Zen-like stuff in there, being a Buddhist. The first four eps piss me off because there's fucking annoying man-hating femanazi stereotype character in it *stabs writer*, but thank goodness they go back to matriarchal times in the end and... well, I won't spoil the ending but it is pure joy:).

Christmas special? With Eccleston? This is the first I've heard of it.

Yes, I'm looking forward to the new season too, but it's a pity we couldn't have had more of the ninth Doctor. I do like him so.

They trailed the Christmas special on BBC1 a little later on the night after the last episode went out - cheeky! I think it's a bit longer than the episodes we've had so far (an hour), but otherwise I think it's probably best if I say nothing else about it until you've seen all the episodes from this season.

We just watched 'Boom Town' and the Doctor mentioned the Bad Wolf stuff following him around. I'm pretty sure we won't be able to stop ourselves knocking off the last two this week. :-P

Me too. Thank you. I really need for things to get better. And I just found that a prong on my old original Liberator (bought second-hand from the UK and the one Claudia played with) has got a bad fracture and is about to fall off. Poor thing. It's too small to fix with superglue without leaving a blob but I'll have to try.
