And Claudia's wearing grey
...and not just at night.
Claudia is going back for a check-up on Saturday, but already she's lost her limp and is much more lively, active, and a lot happier. I'm delighted and really, really hope she stays that way.

Claudia has a drop of something called Metacalm with food at night, plus we started her and Tessa on green-lipped mussel pills at the same time, but I assume it's the drops as the pills, I was told, take longer to kick in.

I'm taking Nova in to get his teeth cleaned on Monday. I've got to go to the vet's today to pick up antibiotics for him, because he's supposed to have them for a couple of days before the procedure. I am not looking forward to this. Nova's my... touchy... cat. :)

I love that icon.

I've got Nova's now. He gets his first dose tonight. I'll probably be able to sneak up on him with that one, but I'll bet you anything the next time I have to pull him out from under the bed. Sigh. It's a good thing I love these animals. :)
The icon seemed strangely appropriate. Alas, it's one of the ones I seem to have lost the attribution for, and I can't for the life of me remember who did it, or whether they requested credit. Which perhaps means I shouldn't be using it, but how could I resist?

LOL, yes! That gets me through the bad times like when Tessa had a detached retina and needed an operation from one of the only two animal ophthalmic surgeons in the country (and he was in the next suburb). She looked like a frankencat for weeks with her eye stitched shut with bright blue thread through a yellow plastic disc so the stitches wouldn't pull.

Oh, poor Tessa! That sounds horrible. I hope the eye came out all right.
I am such a sap for animals, really. I've been reading a collection of James Herriot's vet stories, and they keep making me want to cry, generally for no particularly good reason. *rolls eyes* :)

Tessa's eye is fine now. It was a bad time though because the vet's first treatments didn't work and I kept taking her back and saying it was getting worse, which it was. Poor little girl; the stuff I was given was just hurting her. :-( But she's a gentle and forgiving little thing.
